Out of the mouthes of babes

Tavis will be 2 before we know it. He is unusual among our children in that he still doesn't have much of a vocabulary. He understands everything but doesn't have much to say. Just within the last week or so he has been saying 3 word phrases. Most notably, "Sorry, mean to." (sorry I didn't mean to.)

Just a few minutes ago we had the funniest conversation.

Tavis was playing with his sister's fairy wand while going potty and he kept dropping it on the floor.

Tavis: Uh oh, whachew
Me: did you drop your wand?
Tavis: nononono whachew
Me: (pointing to the wand) What is this?
Tavis: Whachew
Me: It's a whachew?
Tavis: (holding the wand up) Whachew dooowing
Me: (pointing to the wand) This is a whachew dooowing?
Tavis: Iunknow (I don't know)
Me: Tavi, what is this
Tavis: whachew dooowing
Tavis then was trying to hold the wand with his toe
My sister: He's trying to monkey toe it
Tavis: Toe Monkey
Me: It's a toe monkey? Are you monkey toeing your whachew?
Tavis: Monkey Toe
