Not a good night

Last night Tony was working and came home for supper, when he was leaving he slid backwards into his trucking causing damage to the squad car. So he came out later and asked me if I'd ride with him into town so that I could drive the van to the body shop where he needed to leave the car. I went with him and on the way to the body shop I was following him, and slid into the back of the squad car at a stop sign. I hit it in exactly the same spot as he'd damaged it earlier.

It was terrifying watching him slide into the intersection in front of a semi after I hit him. Luckily the semi was turning and so did not hit him. I shook for hours afterwords. We are both fine or will be after a trip to see our favorite chiropractor.

Out of the mouthes of babes

Tavis will be 2 before we know it. He is unusual among our children in that he still doesn't have much of a vocabulary. He understands everything but doesn't have much to say. Just within the last week or so he has been saying 3 word phrases. Most notably, "Sorry, mean to." (sorry I didn't mean to.)

Just a few minutes ago we had the funniest conversation.

Tavis was playing with his sister's fairy wand while going potty and he kept dropping it on the floor.

Tavis: Uh oh, whachew
Me: did you drop your wand?
Tavis: nononono whachew
Me: (pointing to the wand) What is this?
Tavis: Whachew
Me: It's a whachew?
Tavis: (holding the wand up) Whachew dooowing
Me: (pointing to the wand) This is a whachew dooowing?
Tavis: Iunknow (I don't know)
Me: Tavi, what is this
Tavis: whachew dooowing
Tavis then was trying to hold the wand with his toe
My sister: He's trying to monkey toe it
Tavis: Toe Monkey
Me: It's a toe monkey? Are you monkey toeing your whachew?
Tavis: Monkey Toe
