October is great!

Wow!
We moved to a new house.
I have always loved moving, throwing out old stuff, getting new (well new to me anyway), and just being in new place.
But I have never moved with kids.
I have four now.... That means moving a lot of sh.....stuff.

Packing was a nightmare, everytime I put something in a box my 2 year old freaked.
"NOOOOO! MOMMY! NOOOO! DON'T THROW THAT AWAY!"
"I'm not throwing it away honey, I am just packing it to take it to the new house."
"NOOOO! MOMMY! NOOOO!"
(insert a throwing down, screaming, crying fit here)
"Honey, it's ok, mommy is not throwing it away we are taking all of our stuff with us."
"NOOOOOOOO!"
(sob, cry, hiccup)
Repeat every time I packed anything. Every. Time. I. Packed. Any. Thing.
I think she may be a bit of a drama queen, maybe.

All of that aside, I still really enjoy moving, well, maybe not the moving, but being in a new house is great. I am really loving putting things away in their new homes, you know, finding just the right spot for things.
And we moved to a great, huge house in the country, on a farm where there are cows and pigs and barn cats. My kidlets are really enjoying the cats because, I am extremely allergic to cats, so we have never been able to have cats before.... they don't really like having to strip in the mudroom before coming in to the house but they are adjusting.

The very best thing that has happened this month though, has to be, that we have found a long lost friend. We lost contact with him 2 years ago. We had no idea how to reach him or where he was living. We entertained theories that he had fallen off the face of the earth. I was so upset. He has been our friend forever, well, Tony's friend forever. They started being friends in the 6th grade. But he has been my friend for a long time too. He was in our wedding, and he is our kids' godfather.
Anyway, we found him, with the help of my wonderful brother-in-law, and we have spoken on the phone several times. We discovered that he works only 20 minutes from our new house so we will be getting together soon.
YAY!!!
